In many cases we will be better able to answer your question if we have some information about you and your institution. If you think it would be useful to readers to have information about your rank and institution, please include this in the text of your message. Note that either form of disclosure is optional. We post anonymously and will do what we can to insure anonymity by editing your question to remove what we take to be potentially identifying information. Your email address, however, will identify you to us. We will keep your identity and your institution confidential.
Not all questions will be posted. For example, if we believe a question is not sincere, we may choose to ignore it; or if a roughly equivalent question has been answered before, we may choose to direct the questioner to a previous post.
